Escape Bag

An escape bag is a bag that holds all of your necessary items. If you have a packed escape bag, you will be able to easily take everything you need with you if you and your children (if you have any) need to leave your home quickly.

Keep the bag / box / suitcase somewhere safe away from home (e.g., at work or with a trusted friend or neighbour) where you can get to it in an emergency. If your escape bag is discovered, you can claim it as an emergency bag in the event of a flood, winter storm, earthquake, or other natural disaster in your area. This will help to reduce suspicion.
